As of, well, today, Willia Chaney, the controversial candidate for state board of education, district 3, has not filed her campaign finance report which was due last Tuesday, October 8th, in violation of state law.
It could be that the county is showing it's usual incompetence in getting finance reports out before the actual election. You know, while they still matter to anybody.
Or it could be that the candidate, who has been pleading poverty in the face of huge state fines, might not want us to find out where she got the money for her mailers.
The state might want a taste, after all.
Her opponent's records are up over at the stinky clark county election site. Doris Fletcher got a total of $3,500.00 in contributions by the filing date. A grand came out of the Tom Collins' superfund, but, then, he has money to burn.
