Local TeeVee folk did a look over Legislators’ tax files and found that only Harvey Munford and Morse Arberry failed to pay their state taxes. Both represent bits of Nor’Town, though I am guessing there’s no causal link. Mind you, that’s only a guess.
Munford paid his up right away, but Arberry, the chair of the Assembly Ways and Means committee, has a history of failing to pay his taxes. Las Vegas Now is claiming that Arberry’s taxes and debts currently amount to as much as $496,000.
Sounds like Munford would make a swell candidate for the North Las Vegas Chamber. They’re all broke, too, ain’t they? And who better to run a bankrupt states’ Way and Means?
