Two Men in Critical Condition After Shooting

North Las Vegas police report shooting and a crash:

North Las Vegas, Nevada – At about 5:49 a.m., on Sunday, March 14, 2010, North Las Vegas Dispatchers received a report of shots fired in the 4500 block of Shannon Jean Court. Officers arrived to find one unidentified shooting victim in a vehicle that crashed into a brick wall at Shannon Jean Court and Delorean Drive and another unidentified shooting victim lying near the collision. Both men were transported to UMC Trauma where they remain in critical condition.

Preliminary investigation shows that the two men were tampering with a vehicle parked in the driveway of a house in the 4500 block of Shannon Jean Court. The owner came out armed with a gun and fired on the two men as they fled the scene in a gold Chevrolet Silverado. Both men were struck by gunfire prior to crashing into a wall less than a block away.
