As I was driving along Simmons between Craig and Lone Mountain this morning, there was a nasty looking car accident right over the outflow ditch. One car was smashed against a wall. Police and firefighters were on the scene.
Council tonight will be considering modifications to plans to fix the ditch right where the accident took place. (Item 15 on agenda) Let’s hope they don’t modify the repairs out of existence…
I’m certainly not holding my breath that this street (or any other street) in NLV will ever be completed properly. So much for the Council’s “priority” of Planned and Quality Growth. Why doesn’t the City inventory all of the streets that need to be complete and then make a list of priorities and a work plan for getting things done. Oh, right, that would make sense and ruin our reputation of being dysfunctional.
