North Las Vegas City Council approved the 2010-2011 budget tonight. Expects $736.8 million in revenue and $736.8 million in expenditures for the next year. 204 jobs will be terminated and the hiring freeze will continue. General fund expenditures will be down about $52.5 million from last year. Oddly, council was unanimous: Mayor Shari Buck voted for the budget along with the rest. (Sun)
No doubt councilfolk are glad the long, painful process is over–at least until folks start finding those pink slips.
