I’ve been looking over the precinct by precinct returns for the Democratic Caucus in North Las Vegas, and according to my calculations, these are the results. [UPDATE: I double checked the precincts against the Clark County Precinct map instead of the report of the 2005 mayoral election, which left out some precincts for some reason. [...] Nor’Towners, at least, know where Ruben Kihuen and Steven Horsford were. (Sun). In my Nor"Town precinct, anyways. I caucused for Kuncinich, but he didn’t have enough people to be viable. Even with the uncommitted, the Kucinich guys, and the Edwards guys, Edwards wasn’t viable, either, so I went for Obama, who won over Hillary by a 60% to 40% margin. Clinton wins in State Senator Horsford’s precinct, [...] This showed up in my e-mail. Looks like a good way to start the busy day tomorrow: NORTH LAS VEGAS , NV – With this year’s historic caucus in Nevada happening on the same weekend as Rev. One recent day, union worker Enrique Vicke drove his truck to depressed neighborhoods in North Las Vegas, where boxy stucco houses sit on dirt yards. Several union members, [...] Moises Denis, who represents some of North Las Vegas, has come out for Barack Obama after his first choice, Governor Bill Richardson, dropped out of the race. if I haven’t missed anything, in which case, send corrections here, that makes the scorecard for endorsements look like this: Barack Obama: Kelvin Atkinson, State Assemblyguy Marilyn [...] Although the Obama campaign can’t tell the difference between North Las Vegas and that sleazy city to the south, Obama is coming back to Rancho High, which really is in North Las Vegas: WHO: Senator Barack Obama and Michelle Obama WHAT: (North) Las Vegas Stand for Change Town HallWHERE: Rancho High School [...] I asked local representatives of the presidential campaigns to answer some questions about their candidates and to give us local folks something to chew on before the Democratic Caucus on Saturday, January 19th.
